          Stewart, who rose to prominence as a cook and lifestyle guru after reading Julia Child's "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" (via Biography), found an unlikely friendship with '90s rap hitmaker Snoop Dogg after an appearance on television more than two decades ago (more on that later).
