          An American with Iranian blood, Hamid said she and her boyfriend Sahil Peerzada met Pomersbach at the party and they had not known each other before.

          They had been drinking for quite a while but were not drunk. "It was just champagne and we were in our senses," she said. What seemed unusual, though, was Pomersbach's instant liking for Sahil. "It was sweet at first, he seemed to really like Sahil," Hamid said.
